BACKGROUND
Taman Omah Baca Ceria was born from a simple dream that I slowly nurtured during the pandemic, when many children had to study from home without adequate guidance. Seeing this situation, I felt compelled to create an alternative space that would not only be a place to learn, but also a source of inspiration and joy for them. By utilizing a corner of my home, I began designing engaging, interactive, and colorful learning activities to keep the children motivated despite the limitations. Through Taman Omah Baca Ceria, I aim to nurture their spirits, bring joy, and cultivate a love for learning and reading in a warm, friendly, and enjoyable atmosphere. This place is not just a reading garden but also a second home where children grow together with hope.

ACTIVITY OMAH BACA CERIA
MINGGU CERIA
One of the signature activities at Taman Omah Baca Ceria is playing together at outdoors, which is designed to provide a fun learning experience and connect with nature. Children are invited to ride bikes together, explore the small village roads, and walk through rice fields and gardens while getting to know their surroundings. This activity not only helps develop physical skills and strengthen social bonds among friends but also fosters a love for nature and an awareness of the simple life in the village. In addition, children are also invited to play traditional games, such as gobak sodor, engklek, or petak umpet, which are slowly being abandoned. Through these games, they learn cooperation, sportsmanship, and enjoy their childhood without relying on gadgets, in line with the spirit of Omah Baca Ceria in bringing simple but meaningful happiness.
MINGGU MEMASAK
Another exciting activity at Taman Omah Baca Ceria is cooking together, which is usually held once every two weeks. In this activity, children are given the opportunity to learn from the very beginning, starting from deciding on the menu, shopping at the nearest market or food stall, to cooking together in a simple manner. This process not only trains independence and creativity, but also teaches children about responsibility, cooperation, and the importance of appreciating food. In a warm and friendly atmosphere, they learn that everyday activities such as cooking can be fun learning moments and strengthen their relationships with one another. In addition, this activity also serves as a means of introducing healthy eating patterns and gratitude for the blessings they have.
