BACKGROUND
The Jannah Institute Library is a key component of The Jannah Institute, an Islamic learning center that offers offline and online classes, workshops, and literacy consulting. Established to support the institute’s mission of nurturing individual potential through appreciative and holistic learning, the library serves as a resource hub for both students and alumni, while also being open to the public through a membership system. It fosters collaboration within an inclusive and sustainable literacy ecosystem. Originating from the founder’s personal book collection, the library has expanded to include works by writing class participants and a growing selection of children’s books to support soft skills programs. Now holding nearly 500 fiction and non-fiction titles ranging from biographies, self-development, and parenting to business, motivation, literacy, and Islamic studies the library also facilitates ongoing digital literacy engagement through activities like book reviews and sharing sessions via the TJI Community WhatsApp group, as well as occasional events that promote community interaction and lifelong learning.

SHARING SESSION
Sharing Session is a regular program held both offline and online through The Jannah Institute Community WhatsApp Group. It serves as a space for community members including class participants, alumni, and literacy advocates to share experiences, insights, and inspiration. Each session is guided by a different speaker and discusses topics ranging from self-development and literacy to education and Islamic issues. This program reflects the spirit of appreciative learning promoted by The Jannah Institute, where every individual is encouraged to grow through positive dialogue and collective learning.
BOOK REVIEW
Book Review is a literacy activity conducted online within the community group, where members share brief reviews of books they have read. The books discussed may come from The Jannah Institute Library collection or from members’ personal collections. This program helps participants deepen their understanding of the content, practice writing reflections, develop critical thinking skills, and inspire others to read. The Book Review program supports the library’s vision as a reference center and a growing space that actively promotes a culture of reading and writing.
